Spring Break

Wow..time has sure flown by! Spring break has already come and will be gone tomorrow. I did not get to go anywhere for spring break..I was a little bummed about that but I had lots of fun at the Georgeff's (teacher's here at CBI) house.

The weather here has been nice and warm for break. We were let our early on Wednesday to start our break. On Thursday Hannah J. (roomie), Celeste, and the Georgeff's and I went to Rapid. That was a lot of fun. We got some fabric to make skirts...(pictures later). Hannah and I went to the Park after getting back from Rapid and we had lot of fun. We did lots of radom things and just had fun being a "kid." Here are some pictures from our fun:

I did not even fall this time....ouch...choir tour...sand burn...

This was our intense game of tic-tac-toe....I got to be X's and Hannah was O's.

We both lost our game- sad...Cat won the game!

On Friday I cut out one of my skirts- it is going to be the cutest one on the block!!! :) I am very excited...thank you Mrs. G for your patience and all of the help! It is greatly appreciated. later in the evening we wathed a couple of episodes of a tv program: Frontier house- very interesting.

Saturday was another fun day in Rapid...I went with the Friesen's to watch their son Isaac play basketball. He had a tounament, he played 4 games and won 3 of them. When we got back in the evening Tim came over and the all of us watched Sound of Music. It was fun to see it again.

Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Georgeff for inviting me over for break, and for opening up your home to me. So, it has been a great Spring break. It was a pleasure to spend it with the Georgeff's. Today (Sunday) was a high of 78...wow!! Well, it is storming out now...thundering and lightening...oohh..

Psalm 73:23-26

Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand. Thou shalt
guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but
thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.

My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for
ever.

Kristins House.....Cheesecake and Bible Conference

The weekend right before Bible Conference I had the privilege of gong to Kristin's house and we had so much fun! From Pooh Introductions to Contradictions...tree house....pretzels....frozen mocha cheesecake...pictures-freezing outside.....starbucks....shopping....the list goes on. I only a few pics and they will come later. Thank you Kristin for allowing me to come and spend the weekend with you! I had a great time! Since Kristin has already beat me to putting up the recipe of the cheesecake here it is:

YUM! Frozen Mocha Cheesecake:
Crust:
1 1/4 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup butter, melted
Filling:
8 ounces cream cheese
1 can sweetened condensed milk
2/3 cup chocolate syrup
2 tablespoons instant coffee
1 tablespoon hot water (or to desired taste)
1 cup whipping cream, whipped

In a small bowl, combine crumbs, sugar and butter. Pat mixture into a 9-inch springform pan or a 13 x 9-inch pan, covering both bottom and side. Chill. In a large bowl, beat cheese until fluffy. Add milk and syrup. Beat until smooth. In small bowl, dissolve coffee in water. Add to other mixture. Mix well and fold in whipped cream. Pour into chilled pan. Cover and freeze for 6 hours. Garnish with additional cookie crumbs. ENJOY

Bible Conference was last week and it was very good. Mark Fisher who graduated from CBI like 6-7 years ago came here from Colorado and shared with us from the book of Matthew. It was very good. Some days I felt like my brain was going to blow up because it was on overload, but it was very good stuff. Just a lot of info to comprehend at once. I was very encouraged how he kept bringing everything back to Christ and how he was a servant. I could go on and on...it was a very refreshing week! Wish there was more!!
During Bible Conference I got to see Ellie again and had the privilege of meeting Kady Smith. I had a lot of fun getting to know them more. We laughed a lot!!We had a lot of fun...even if Mark did spit on us since we were sitting in the front and the joke about a red head, brunette, and blonde...he noticed that it was us...too funny! And we laughed some more!! Thanks Ellie and Kady for a great week! I miss you guys already!!
