Prank

We can't start the new year without doing something to the boys (or at least that is what I was told) .Some girls, (who wish to remain unknown) decided to go to the guys dorm (with the dean herself and permission, of course) and take some of the guys ties. They only got ones that were visible or in their closet....(they did not snoop to get them). Anyway, so when it was time for our dorm meeting, we came in and were told to pick out a tie to wear to class the next day, ...so, we did...:

Thank you for letting me wear the tie Mr. Steel. I did not wear one of the boys, I wore Mr. Steels. He had a collection too! You see, this festive Christmas tie that I am wearing, it sings. Mr. Steel ALWAYS bumps it in class and one time in church....so guess what I did? I made it go off too!!!

My Roomie!!!

Thanks for participating Miss Haynie, all of the staff ladies participated with us...

Here we all are!!! Ready to preach....just kidding!

The Lord is ALWAYS faithful!!!!

The Lord has been teaching me so much latley. I have been thinking and praying a lot about my future lately. I have been praying about a few things and I am not even sure if that is where the Lord would have for me. I do know that I can trust Him and He will direct me!!!

I was thinking yesterday and had a nice talk with Mrs. Steel (today) about when I first came here . I can look back and see how the Lord has worked in my heart and taught me so much! I have learned so much about trust.

Every year my that I have been here (except this one) I have worked. So,the Lord had provided jobs for me and taken care of all of my bills. Everytime the Lord has been faithful. I look back and see how many times I worried and how their was no reason to. Through a series of events that happend this summer the Lord has taught me that He is ALL that I need. I have known that, but it wasn't untill I didn't have anyone left that it finally made sense. The Lord really is ALL that I need. He promises to never leave me:

Hebrews 13:5 says "...I will never leave thee nor forsake thee." Psalm 27:10 says, "When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will tak me up." These verses have been such a huge encouragement to me. I am so thankful for the body of Christ....my family is so large!!!!

It came time for me to come to school again. I was able to work only a very short time this summer. So, I was not sure how I would pay for school. I decided that I would come to school a few weeks early and try to see if I could get a job. I had one job and they decided they were going to close for the winter so that job fell through. I applied to lots of places, I was hired at one but it didn't work and I was wondering what was going to happen. The Lord was trying to teach me to just TRUST Him. I don't need to worry:

Matthew 6:34 says, "Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself..." I do not need to worry about what is going to happen. Well, Mr. LeBar asked me if I would be interested in doing breakfast everymorning for a scholarship. What an answer to prayer...no reason to worry. It was a full schoalrship butI did have to pay some but it was not a lot. Well, I knew that this was where the Lord wanted me and if this was where He wanted me than he would provide for me. Well, I got the scholarship again for this semester and this time it covered everything!!! Wow..the Lord is so good.

I am so glad that the Lord has allowed me to go through all of these hard times. If my life was easy and I did not have any problems than I would not even need Him. We pray that the Lord would conform us to the image of His Son. In order for Him to do that, He has to chip away all of the self and all of the things that do not reflect Him. It has not been easy but the Lord is still GOOD!!! If I am walking in accordance to His word than He will give me the strength that I need.

This semester started just a little over a week ago. I have 4 classes this semester. I am taking: Ephesians, Hermenutics, Revelation and Cults. I am looking forward to this semester, and a little sad because it is my last one!!!

Christmas Dorm Decorating

I know...it has been forever...sorry. Well I am waiting for some Christmas pictures to be sent to me. While I wait I thought I would catch up. Every year right before Christmas break CBI has a decorating contest between the girls dorm and the boys dorm...we won't talk about who won.
Here are a few pictures of my room. Hannah and I had fun decorating!!

This is our door....welcoming everyone to our winter wonderland...

My roomate Hannah had lots of pictures on her wall and we got the idea from a great friend (thanks Amanda!!) to put the pictures in the shape of a christmas tree. We had some extra garland and stuff so we decorated it like a tree. Everyone liked it and we were the only one's with a picture christmas tree.

We also put lights and garland around each window. I also made all of those snowfalkes that are around my room. We even had a snowman scene on the dresser.

We also decieded that it would be fun if we would wrap our dresser drawers in paper...it turned out pretty cool...

We had to have some snacks for our guests...so we served them m&ms and candy coated kisses..

On the closet door we drew a big snowflake and had everyone sign it and then on the left side we asked everyone what their favorite dessert was. That was fun seeing what everyone liked.

We made my bookshelf into a fireplace....since we can't have a real fire...

Then we had lights with garland wrapped around it and it went all the way around the room. To finish it off, we made a big snowflake out of garland that reached to the middle.

Last but not least...everyone has to have a tree...we also found out that wrapping picture frames can also pass as presents!

It was a good time...I enjoyed looking at everyone's room. I suppose the guys have to win everyonce in a while. Otherwise, they probably would not even try.
