Another great year at CBI

Sorry, this is late...I will try better next time!!

Classes started about 2 weeks ago and I am taking 3 classes this year: 1 and 2 Corinthians, Church History and Biblical Counseling. I am also in choir again. My homework this semester seems to be so far.... a lot of reading. The only big project I have is a 15 page paper for Church History. I have picked a topic and am going to be doing my paper on Susanna Wesely. I have really enjoyed Church History.

I have only one roommate this year, Hannah Jenkins. Hannah grew up in Alausi, Ecuador, her family are church planters. She is very excited about going home to Ecuador for Christmas this year!!!

Hannah Jenkins is on the left (the one with red hair!!!) and Ruth Coon on the right (Hannah and Ruth were roommate's last year!!!). This picture was taken a the beautiful Lake Michigan during choir tour this year.

The Lord has provided a cleaning job every other week on Friday's for an elderly couple here in town. They are believers and that is a huge praise!! So, I am still looking for a job, I would appreciate your prayers for that. However, the Lord has given me this one and it will work for now!! :)

I have had the privilege these last few weeks of teaching the 2 and 3 year old class here at Calvary and it has been a huge blessing!! One week I did not have any....they were back the next week!! I also have been asked to be the Cubbie Director for AWANA. I would appreciate prayer for that. The first week starts, September 10.

Every year we have a Labor day picnic and the seniors put it on. We organize the games and my favorite: Freshman initiation. It is going to be a lot of fun! I will post pics next week!!

Choir Tour 2008

Well....here are finally some pictures from choir tour, there are quite a few but I tried to get a few of each activity we did!!

This was our very first stop on Choir Tour and it was in Newell, Iowa....(Nicole came to this one!)

Liz and I- we had some pretty fun times...remember that night?

Minnesota

Here is Ruth and I in front of Lake Superior

Most of us looked at the freezing water from a distance and it looks like someone waned to see if it was really cold or not.

This is Melissa and I...Thanks for all your work on Choir tour....you did a good job!! Thanks for your driving.....

While in Minnesota Phil took us to some falls...this is Ruth and I.
Phil also took us to go Frisbee golfing...that was very interesting..and it was a little chilly...there was snow..in May!!!

Our last adventure with Phil was going out to eat at Pizza Hut...thanks Phil for a fun day!

I can only imagine what Matt is telling Judy....too funny.

Here is another picture of a church we sang at..I believe it was in Minn., but I am not sure.

I stayed with this group of girls one night: Me, Judy, Liz and Hannah....Liz and I had a little too much fun!!

We had group devotions outside in Minnesota....it was a little chilly but not too bad...we had a fire

After devotions Pastor Miller (Kristi's Dad) took us on a walk to go see some little falls.

What more do I need to say???

Mr. and Mrs. Georgeff, thank you so much for all that you did on choir tour. Thanks for being our fearless leader Mr. G!!

Michigan-Yippee!!!

Beautiful Lake Michigan

Mr. and Mrs. Peppel came to the Church in Athens, Michigan

My cousins Karen and her daughter Kelly

One of the best meals on Choir Tour-and no tomatoes!!

This was one of my favorite houses on choir tour...not just because we got to eat steak...they were so friendly and it was not awkward at all, sometimes you get those houses and you do not know what to say or do. We stayed with them for 2 days and it was a lot of fun getting to know them and one night they took us to a dairy farm that had more than 2,50o cows....that is a lot of milk!!

Our next adventure was to the zoo...

I love that picture...too funny...don't worry Hannah he won't get you!!
