College Life
Sorry it took so long to get back to you all! College has been very busy. I am a junior at CBI this year. I am however, only taking senior classes this semester. My classes are: Hebrews, Theology, Apologetics, Major Prophets and Biblical Discipleship. I only have 2 classes everyday and they happen to be every other hour…yeah!!! Then the Biblical Discipleship class was offered to anyone who would want to take it and I decided to. That class meets once a week every Tuesday night. I am also in Bells and Choir!! I really enjoy them! This is my class....all7 of us!! In the back row left to right we have Hannah Christensen (my roommate), Patrick Campbell, and Rachel Brown. In the front row left to right we have Jenny Simpson (me), Rachel Sowers, Jodie Kunnari and Megan Westover.

A few weeks ago we had our Junior fun chapel. We did a skit using the story of the fiery furnace and tied in it the story of three Little pigs. It was so funny :) We also had a game of ultimate tick-tack toe and had the teams challenge each other by sending someone out to see if they could beat the other team. I thought you might like to see!!!
Here are our lovely little pigs: Rachel S.,Jodie and Hannah C.

Here is our Big Bad Wolf: Pat!!!

~We then had some challenges while playing tic-tac-toe which included: a tie tieing contest, get the carrot in the bottle, who can say the books of the Bible the fastest, singing father Abraham the fastest.....

Here are Grace and Kyla. They have a baby carrot tied to a string which is tied to their belt loop and they are trying to get a baby carrot into the pop bottle without touching it. Grace ended up winning!!

This is Laura and Justin and they are trying to see who can chug Sprite the fastest......and the winner is.....Justin!!!!

Here is Kendrick and Nathanael they tried to see who could sing father Abraham the fastest....It was soooo funny. It looks like Kendrick left Nathanael hanging.....they both tied!

Brett and Corey raced to see who could tie the fastest.
But, we found out that Corey doesn't know how to tie a tie so Brett won!!

~WORK~
The Lord has provided a job for me at Power Tech (uranium plant). I get to do fun stuff such as: filing, copying, putting numbers into the computer, cleaning, shredding papers…..told you it was fun!!! I usually work 15 -17 hrs a week. I also have the privilege of working with one of my class mates: Rachel Brown. It is nice to work with her. We have a great witnessing opportunity.

Weekly Verse:
Psalm 27: 14
“Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart; wait, I say, on the LORD.”
I have been thinking about this verse. A lot of times I wish that God would just send me a note in the mail telling what to do. I say, what am I suppose to do Lord, I don’t know!! I have been praying about some decisions lately. This verse has just reminded me that I don’t need to jump the gun and make a decision today. The Lord will show me what to do next, I need to just wait on Him and not worry about it. His timing may not be ours but His is right!!!

Hello!!!! Just a quick note to tell you all that I am still here!!! I have been very bad at not keeping up with this!!! Well, I am working on a few new posts, you will see them soon! Last week we had missions conference and it was very encouraging!!!!

The Lord has been teaching me a lot these last few weeks. One of the things that he made clear to me as well as others is that my focus was not on Him. With family and school and all the problems that come with that I was getting very discouraged. I started to take my focus off Christ and put it on myself. I started to have a "pity party" for myself. I also learned that by having a "pity party" and moping around that people did not want to be around me. When you have a bad attitude it not only effects you but it effects everyone around you. Also, you can't do anything about the things you can't change. I know that sounds kind of funny.....but worrying or dwelling on it will not change anything, so instead of worrying about it turn your "worry list" into your prayer list. Pray for the things that bother you that you have no control over.

Some one gave me this a few weeks ago so I thought I would share it with you.....I hope it is an encouragement to you!!! Proverbs 3:5-6: TRUST
T- Take the gift of salvation
R- rejoice in God alone/ not circumstances 1 Peter 1:3-9
U- Unleash your life to the soverign care of a perfect and
intimately wise God.
S- Sacrificial submission- up to God and out to others.
Focus on self eliminates others, focus on others eliminates self, look
for opportunities to serve.
T- Total responsiblity for everything goes to God.

God is faithful!!!

1 Corinthians 10:13
"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."

This verse has been on my mind a lot lately. When we have so much stuff going on and we think, I can't handle it, or it is too hard. God patiently reminds us that He is faithful and will not give us more than we can handle. There is always going to be hard times but just knowing that God sent us this issue or problem because He knows how much we can take is a huge relief.
